Implications of Verizon Completing Its Acquisition of Frontier Internet

First off, let’s give well deserved credit to where credit is due...
Huge Hat Tip to Dan Schulman, Sowmyanarayan Sampath, Nick Jeffery, Scott Beasley, and ALL members of the combined teams who pulled this off.
Do not kid yourself…this puts tremendous pressure on T-Mobile.
To quote Verizon CEO, Dan Schulman-
“Together, we now reach almost 30 million fiber passings across 31 states and Washington, D.C. This scale allows us to offer more choice and better value than ever before. We led the fiber revolution more than 20 years ago, and today, we are accelerating our national strategy to regain our position as the undisputed leader.”
With AT&T laser focussed on a successful, aggressive, and even accelerated Fiber build-out strategy, T-Mobile is now more pressured than ever to jump head first into the pool.
T-Mobile leads in Fixed Wireless Access (FWA), but Fiber is a different beast.
Cable?
This puts further pressure on providers like Comcast, Charter Communications, Altice USA, Cable One/Sparklight Careers, Mediacom Communications, and others.
To the Regional PE backed Fiber providers out there… this is where things get real and your hard work pays off.
As always, please feel free to reach out with any questions or to just discuss further.
Have a great week, amigos!
