Zero. # of Times our Lumen / AT&T Internet Connection Went Down in 5 Years

No jittery Zoom calls or delays getting on the network Monday morning.
Just a thin strand of "glass" strung from a pole to our home.
What I think many of us forget, is that in multiple neighborhoods across major US metros, there still is not much choice for Internet Service Providers.
Odds are, it's a Cable company like Comcast or Charter Communications, a Telco like AT&T, Verizon, or T-Mobile, maybe a Satellite player- STARLINK gaining steam in more rural areas, and perhaps a new Regional Fiber provider like Ting Internet.
AT&T officially completed its $5.75 billion all-cash acquisition of Lumen Technologies' Mass Markets fiber business last Monday.
I worked at Level 3 / CenturyLink / now Lumen, and saw firsthand what a great network that was.
That said, the B2B / Commercial Business remained the main focus. Real Win / Win for both companies, in my opinion.
AT&T can now offer sticky, share taker Mobile + Internet bundles at discount, while Lumen can reduce its debt and double down on its enterprise focus with AI growth stalwarts like Palantir Technologies.
Hat tip to Kate Johnson, Chris Stansbury, John Stankey, Pascal Desroches, and Brett Feldman.
Many households have been anxiously awaiting more choice.
Now they'll get it.
